This NVQ Level 6 Health and Safety is specific to people who are actively involved in the practice or management of health and safety as part of their job. The Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) accepts this qualification for membership at Graduate level (GradIOSH). The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) accept this qualification for full Member status (MIIRSM).<\/p>\n

The NVQ Level 6 Health and Safety qualification is a highly practical programme, and one of our team of assessors will assist you to build a portfolio of work based evidence. Our approach is one-to-one, and we structure our programme to suit your needs as a busy health and safety practitioner.<\/p>\n
Unlike traditional classroom other health and safety training courses Diploma, the NVQ Level 6 Health and Safety qualification is work based, and involves the collection of evidence from your normal day to day activities. This will probably be individuals who have already acquired some experience and are able to influence the health and safety policy and practice of their organisation.<\/p>\n
There are ten individual units that must be completed to obtain the NVQ Diploma Level 6 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0 Promote a positive health and safety culture<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0 Develop and maintain individual and organisational competence in health and safety matters<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0 Identify, assess and control health and safety risks<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0 Develop and implement proactive monitoring systems for health and safety<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0 Develop and implement reactive monitoring systems for health and safety<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0 Develop and implement health and safety emergency response systems and procedures<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0 Develop and implement health and safety review systems<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0 Maintain knowledge of improvements to influence health and safety practice<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0 Develop and implement effective communication systems for health and safety information<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0 Develop and implement the health and safety policy<\/p>\n Candidates can easily upload evidence into the Compass online learning platform, MyQual.\u00a0 Entry dates are flexible, and you can enrol at any point of the year. Contact with your assessor will be via e-mail or telephone and they will visit you at your place of work to observe you and give support. The NVQ Level 6 Health and Safety is principally a distance learning type approach with no need to attend specific dates.<\/p>\n There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification; however candidates must be in a role that allows them to collect the required evidence. It would be advisable for candidates to already hold a health and safety qualification\u00a0 for example a General Certificate.<\/p>\n Our health and safety consultants are qualified and experienced health and safety professionals with a background in vocational health and safety training and assessment. All consultants hold Graduate or Chartered Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).<\/p>\n You will have an allocated assessor who will work with you to collect your portfolio of evidence.
