The Construction Plant-hire Association (CPA) have issued guidance regarding medical fitness to operate construction plant. Employers have a duty to ensure that any employee is both physically and mentally capable of undertaking the tasks that they are required to carry out. The guidance aims to provide clarity about the medical fitness assessment process and outlines steps employers should take to ensure that operatives have an appropriate level of fitness.
