The Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment has been developed for those new to, or wanting to enter the construction industry. It has been developed to increase awareness of potential hazards in a construction environment and is an ideal introduction into basic health and safety responsibilities within the industry. It is one of the requirements to be able to apply for a Green CSCS Card.
Our blended learning program includes three eLearning modules to support the 4 days classroom elements. The course is made up of a total of 40 guided learning hours.
AIMS
At the end of the course delegates will understand:
- the principles of risk assessment for maintaining and improving health and safety at work
- the importance of safe manual handling in the workplace
- the importance of working safely at height in the workplace
- the risks to health within a construction environment
- the importance of working around plant and equipment safety

CERTIFICATION
Upon successful completion of the course and eLearning modules, Learners will receive:
- Emergency First Aid Certificate
- Asbestos Awareness Certificate
- Fire Marshall Certificate
- Manual Handling Certificate
Following successful completion of a CITB computer based Health & Safety Test, Learners will also receive their CITB Level 1 Award for Health & Safety in a Construction Environment certificate and be able to apply for their Green CSCS Card.
