L3 Award Emergency First Aid at Work Course
This qualification is aimed at learners who wish to become emergency first-aiders in the workplace. The qualification meets the requirements for training emergency first-aiders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment.
The qualification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the first aider and how to assess an incident. The qualification also covers first aid skills in CPR and use of an AED, providing first aid to a casualty who is choking and dealing with external bleeding and hypovolaemic shock.
Assessment is graded pass/fail based on practical demonstration and a multiple choice exam.
Successful candidates will receive an accredited eCertificate from Highfield Qualifications.
There are no specific entry requirements, but it is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.

Our training centre in Chorley is fully accessible with the main training room located on the ground floor. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet on the ground floor and a wheelchair accessible lift to the first floor.
Yes, within the cost of the course there is a buffet lunch, hot and cold drinks and biscuits for those attending in person.
If you are attending our Hybrid course and would prefer to split the payment for this course you can pay in 2 or 3 instalments, as long as the final payment is made before you take the exam.Ā Please call our admin team who can set this up for you.Ā Please note there is an additional admin fee of Ā£50 added to the first instalment for this option.
