NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety
Replacing the National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management, the NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety helps you learn and develop fire safety skills which can be applied in workplaces anywhere in the world. It provides the knowledge and understanding to advise on fire protection of premises and workers, and carry out an effective fire risk assessment in low to medium risk workplaces. It is ideal for those responsible for fire safety in low to medium risk workplaces, including:

The course is made up of presentations, videos, question-and-answer sessions, activities, and projects.Ā There are 2 assessments at the end of the course ā one open book online written exam, and a practical assessment. The practical assessment includes the completion of a fire risk assessment carried out at the learnerās workplace. The tutor will support the learnerās knowledge and understanding through classroom and individual discussion.
TheĀ NEBOSH Certificate in Fire SafetyĀ is made up of two units:
Unit FSC1: Fire Safety
ā¢ Managing fire safety
ā¢ Principles of fire and explosion
ā¢ Fuel, oxygen and ignition sources and control measures
ā¢ Fire protection in buildings
ā¢ Safety of people in the event of fire
ā¢ Fire safety risk assessment
Unit FSC2: Fire Risk Assessment
ā¢ Practical Assessment
NEBOSH will issue successful delegates the National Certificate in Fire Safety.
There are no specific entry requirements for this course.Ā NEBOSH recommend that delegates have a minimum standard of English, as they must be able to understand and communicate the concepts in the course content, and complete the written exam and practical assessment. Delegates should have a basic knowledge of health and safety, and an understanding of what happens in their workplace. The information you will need to know for the practical assessment and the exams will be covered in the course.

Our training centre in Chorley is fully accessible with the main training room located on the ground floor. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet on the ground floor and a wheelchair accessible lift to the first floor.
If you are attending our Hybrid course and would prefer to split the payment for this course you can pay in 2 or 3 instalments, as long as the final payment is made before you take the exam.Ā Please call our admin team who can set this up for you.Ā Please note there is an additional admin fee of Ā£50 added to the first instalment for this option.
