The SFJ Awards Level 2 Award in Fire Safety Principles provides learners with a clear understanding of fire hazards and risks in the workplace and how they can be effectively controlled.
This qualification is suitable across all sectors and industries and is particularly relevant for fire marshals, fire wardens, supervisors and those with responsibility for supporting workplace fire safety.
Learners will develop the knowledge and confidence to understand fire risk, contribute to fire prevention measures, and support effective fire safety management within their organisation.
Learners explore workplace fire hazards, how fire risks are controlled, and the principles of effective fire safety management. The day also covers the role of the fire warden, emergency procedures, and the importance of maintaining safe systems and compliance within the workplace.

There are no formal entry requirements. Learners should have a good understanding of English and be at least 14 years old.

Learners may progress to the SFJ Awards Level 3 Award in Fire Safety Management or other Level 3 fire safety qualifications.
