It supports managers, supervisors and responsible persons in ensuring effective fire safety arrangements are in place and maintained.
Learners will gain the knowledge and confidence to oversee fire safety processes, monitor compliance, and contribute to a strong fire safety culture within their organisation.
Learners explore fire safety legislation, roles and responsibilities, and the principles of effective fire safety management within organisations.
The focus shifts to fire risk assessment processes, maintaining fire protection systems, monitoring compliance, and managing emergency procedures and staff awareness.
This qualification is ideal for managers, supervisors, fire wardens with extended responsibility, and those appointed as Responsible Persons for fire safety.
There are no formal entry requirements. Learners should have a good understanding of English and be at least 18 years old.
Yes. This is an SFJ Awards regulated qualification aligned with National Occupational Standards for fire safety roles.
Learners complete a portfolio of evidence, which includes written questions and practical fire safety activities.
Learners may progress to Level 3 and Level 4 fire safety qualifications, including the SFJ Awards Level 3 Certificate in Fire Safety or Level 3 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment.
