Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA)
This Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement, also known CAVA or TAQA, replaces the A1\A2 and D32\D33 assessor awards. It is designed for assessors who are working with students completing a range of vocational qualifications from the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF); these include NVQ/Diplomas, Technical Certificates and Functional Skills.

- Some reading material followed by some questions you need to answer
- Some documents you need to upload
- What to expect when your Assessor carries out your workplace observation
Your Assessor gets in touch within 7-10 days of your enrolment to check you can navigate around the learning platform and to agree time scales with you to complete.
There are 3 mandatory units in this qualification:
- Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment
- Assess Occupational Competence in the Work Environment
- Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding
Candidates need to be at least 19 years old. There are no other formal entry requirements although you do need to be in a role carrying out this work so you can be assessed.
You also must also have access to:
