At Compass, we take pride in providing opportunities for growth and development. We recently celebrated the exceptional journey of one of our apprentices, Luke Butler, who has demonstrated remarkable dedication and achievement.
Luke’s journey began in the Royal Air Force, where he completed a Level 3 apprenticeship. After seeing that Bureau Veritas were hiring for a Level 4 Engineer Surveyor Apprentice, which Compass would take the lead in delivering, Luke decided he was ready for a new challenge and began his journey as a level 4 apprentice.
Breaking New Ground
Luke has distinguished himself as the first apprentice at Compass to complete his Higher National Certificate (HNC) in just one year—a feat that typically takes two to three years to accomplish. His ability to excel under a compressed timeline speaks volumes about his commitment, intelligence, and perseverance.
This success story would not be complete without acknowledging the outstanding support Luke received along the way. His apprenticeship manager, Liam Gaskell, played a pivotal role in this journey, with Luke noting that Liam had been ‘brilliant’.
Achieving Distinction
Not only did Luke complete his HNC in record time, but he also achieved a distinction—a testament to his hard work and aptitude. As he approaches his end-point assessment, we are confident that he will continue to excel and make significant contributions to his workplace and the industry at large.
Luke’s story is an inspiring reminder of what can be achieved with determination, support, and the right opportunities. We are incredibly proud of his accomplishments and look forward to witnessing his continued success.
Keep an eye out for more updates on our fantastic apprentices and the incredible journeys they embark on with us at Compass.
