Our colleague and good friend, Chris Bentham was diagnosed with Myeloma earlier this year. Myeloma is a type of blood cancer arising from plasma cells. At any one time there are around 24,000 people living with myeloma in the UK, accounting for 15% of blood cancers, and 2% of all cancers.

Chris has undergone surgery in recent months and is now having radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment to manage the cancer.

Because of the research and work that has previously been carried out, Chris like many others is benefitting from advancements that are being made all the time in the treatment and management of cancer. To show our support for Chris and for the amazing work that is being done, the team at Compass are taking part in Cancer Research Race for Life on 1st September at Witton Park in Blackburn.
