Course Overview

This Level 3 apprenticeship is designed for individuals working in, or moving into, a health and safety role. It provides the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to support effective safety management within an organisation, alongside preparation for the NEBOSH National General Certificate.

Entry Requirements

While there are no formal entry requirements, learners should:

  • Be working in a health and safety role or have significant safety responsibilities
  • Have access to a workplace mentor or line manager
  • Be able to apply learning within a real working environment

What You'll Learn

This apprenticeship covers key areas required for effective health and safety practice, including:

Delivery Model

Training is delivered through a flexible and structured approach:

  • Virtual instructor-led workshops
  • Online learning materials and resources
  • Practical assignments to demonstrate knowledge
  • One-to-one support and guidance

 

Learners will use the OneFile ePortfolio system to track progress and complete their apprenticeship requirements.

End Point Assessment (EPA)

The End Point Assessment is the final stage of the apprenticeship and includes:

  • Online multiple-choice knowledge test (40 questions)
  • Workplace project and report
  • Online presentation with questioning
  • Professional discussion supported by a portfolio of evidence

 

Learners can achieve a Pass or Distinction grade.
