Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (IQA)

 This course is designed for those people who evaluate the internal assessment process, monitor and review internal assessments and other internal quality assurance activities.

This Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice qualification for IQAs replaces the V1 or D34 Internal Verifier awards.

The qualification is delivered online and will consist of professional discussion, evidence of observing assessors and sampling portfolio’s at certain periods of the assessment process.

The Level 4 IQA course is made up of the following units:

• Understanding the Principles and Practices of Internally Assuring the Quality of Assessment
• Internally Assure the Quality of Assessments

The awarding body for this course is NOCN.

Learners must be at least 19 years old.  There are no formal examinations to this qualification and no other entry requirements, but you must be able to demonstrate occupational competence and qualifications in your sector. 

You must also be in a position to internally quality assure the assessment process from within a centre or organisation of at least two assessors with two learners each.  Your must also have access to a qualified IQA to mentor you through the program.

Each qualification will start with a  remote planning session followed by access to eLearning materials on our online learning platform.

You will complete a portfolio of evidence which will be assessed by your IQA Assessor. You will also complete a range of tasks including observations, written questions and a professional discussion.
