If you are on site regularly and still need a black CSCS card, you will need to complete a relevant NVQ qualification (likely the NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management if you are a site manager). This does not mean you will need to attend college as this qualification is portfolio based and is completed remotely in your own time, in as little as 8 weeks.
Completion of the NVQ Level 6, and a pass of the CITB Health, safety and environment test will allow you to then apply for your new black CSCS card.

You apply for this directly with CSkills. More information can be found at. https://www.cscs.uk.com/applying-for-cards/
Any additional needs you have will be addressed by your assessor in your initial assessment, and reasonable adjustments can be made by your assessor in order to support you to complete your qualification.
This depends on each individual. The average completion for a Level 6 is 3-6 months, however it can be completed in less than 8 weeks. You are supported by your Assessor for twelve months after which you will be dormant on our system.
This qualification is certificated by NOCN who will issue your certificate when you complete.
Once you complete your portfolio, and you have passed through our internal quality assurance process, we claim your certificate from NOCN who then sends an e-certificate, which can take up to 10 working days. We will email you an electronic copy of the certificate as soon as we receive it. Hard copies of certificates are not essential when applying for your black CSCS card. If you want a hard copy of your certificate this is an additional cost.
