Compass are accepting enrolees onto a pilot group commencing at the end of May for experienced Construction Site Managers looking to upskill through completion of the NVQ Level 6 Construction Site Management and NEBOSH Construction Certificate.

Apprenticeships have changed and are not just for new starters or young people, but can be used to upskill existing members of staff, old or young. By enrolling a learner on to NVQ Level 6 Construction Site Management through our degree apprenticeship, you will be able to make use of the apprenticeship levy. Levy funds will expire 24 months after they enter the account unless they are spent on apprenticeship training, so using the Apprenticeship Levy fund to develop new staff and develop skills of existing staff makes perfect business sense. If you do not pay into the apprenticeship levy, you will only need to pay 5% of the costs. As we are offering this pilot programme at a reduced cost of £12000, this only comes to £600.

As well as completion of the NVQ Level 6 Construction Site Management, learners will join CIOB as a student member and develop their skills to achieve full membership upon completion of their degree. Learners will also have the opportunity to complete the NEBOSH Construction Certificate. This course provides a broad understanding of construction related health & safety issues and is an essential qualification for anyone with health & safety responsibilities in the construction industry.

The entire apprenticeship can be completed remotely, with the learner having the choice of attending the NEBOSH Construction course either remotely or in person at Compass House in Chorley. Reviews with a tutor will be held every 8 – 10 weeks.

This programme will be a reduced duration of up to 24 months for experienced site managers and have reduced cost of £12000.  Please register your interest by emailing info@compass-ms.co.uk.
