This practical engaging event is designed to equip new and practicing Internal Quality Assurers with the skills, knowledge and understanding required to ensure their practice is in line with both Regulation and National Occupational Standards. Lead IQAs will also find this IQA training event valuable.
DURATION
This continuous professional development event will be delivered in a 1-day learning programme, which will include practical activities, tutor input and a range of exercises. The event is highly interactive and delivered through coaching and facilitation to ensure all delegates achieve their desired outcomes from the day.
AIMS
The aim of the event is to explore the role of the IQA in depth to help understand what activities you or your Internal Quality Assurers should be carrying out to ensure the quality of assessment is maintained.
CONTENT
By the end of this event delegates will be able to:
• Explain the true role of the IQA – managing performance versus verifying portfolios
• Identify activities you or your IQA’s can get involved in to monitor and improve quality of assessment
• Understand how the Assessment Cycle and the Internal Quality Assurance Cycle work together
• Explore a range of standardisation and CPD activities for you, your IQAs and your assessors
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
This event is aimed at everyone involved in internal quality assurance who wants to ensure their practice is in line with Regulation and Standard 10 of the National Occupational Standards for Learning & Development. There are no entry requirements.

Upon successful completion of the event, Delegates will receive a continuous professional development certificate.
