Frequently Asked Questions

Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations require employers to have access to competent advice. Compass can help your business by providing this advice and helping you to comply with your legal obligations. 

We can assist your organisation to achieve and maintain accreditations to CHAS, SMAS, Safe Contractor and other Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSiP). Depending on your scope of service (as set out in your contract), this may be included in the retainer fee or if may be an additional one-off fee. 

This depends on the size of your organisation, the industry you are working in and the level of service and support you require. Contact us, providing details about your organisation and we will email you a quote setting out different options available. 

Compass have health & safety advisors and consultants with experience in different sectors. Our aim is to work with our clients to help them comply with their obligations in a simple and straightforward way. As a retainer client of Compass you will also be entitled to a 10% discount of other Compass services, including training and occupational health. 

You will receive an annual invoice and payment will be collected each month by Direct Debit. 

Yes. Compass quality management system has been certified to ISO 900, our Advisors and Consultants are all members of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and our Principal Consultant, Debbie Williams is a member of the Occupational Health and Safety Consultants Register (OSHCR). 

No. We will be open with you about what the retainer fee includes and if you require any additional work this will be agreed in advance. 

We issue a 12-month contract to retainer clients. At the end of the contract period there will be the option to renew your contract. 

If you are unsure about the level of service you require, call us and tell us about your business and we can provide more information on the options available. 

Yes, we will guide you through the process following a serious workplace accident, advising you how and when to report the accident, carry out an accident investigation and dealing with insurers queries. This may be included in your agreed scope of service or may be an additional cost.
