L3 Award First Aid at Work £279 + vat
This qualification is designed for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide First Aid when dealing with emergency situations.
This 3 day course is based on the HSE training standard for delivery of First Aid at Work courses for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.
Topics include:
- the roles and responsibilities of a first-aider
- assessing an emergency situation safely
- CPR and AED
- administering first aid to a choking casualty
- dealing with shock, burns, scalds, bleeds and minor injuries
- dealing with casualties with fractures, and spinal, head or chest injuries
- dealing with heart attacks, strokes and other major illnesses
Assessment method
This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration and a multiple-choice theory test.
There are no specific entry requirements, but it is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.

Our training centre in Chorley is fully accessible with the main training room located on the ground floor. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet on the ground floor and a wheelchair accessible lift to the first floor.
Yes, within the cost of the course there is a buffet lunch, hot and cold drinks and biscuits for those attending in person.
If you are attending our Hybrid course and would prefer to split the payment for this course you can pay in 2 or 3 instalments, as long as the final payment is made before you take the exam. Please call our admin team who can set this up for you. Please note there is an additional admin fee of £50 added to the first instalment for this option.
