NVQ Level 2 Specialist Installation (Construction) Joint Sealant Application

The Compass NVQ Level 2 Sealant Application qualification is aimed at those who have sufficient experience in construction and in this role, and are looking to get their Blue Skilled Worker CSCS Card.
The qualification is delivered online and on site, so no college attendance is required. It can be completed in as little as 2 weeks.
Upon successful completion of the course you will be issued with a certificate which, along with successful completion of the Health, Safety & Environment test, you will be able to apply for your Blue CSCS card.
When you enrol, you are provided with a logon to our online platform, MyKademy. This guides you through:
- Your induction and introduction to your qualification
- Some reading material followed by some questions you need to answer
- Some photographs and videos you need to upload
- What to expect from a virtual site visit
Your Assessor gets in touch within 7-10 days of your enrolment and will then give you feedback on how you’re doing and make arrangement to visit you on site.
To achieve this qualification a minimum of 6 units need to be attained. This comprises the 6 units from the Mandatory Group.
The units include:
- Applying sealants to structural fabric in the workplace
- Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
- Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace
- Erecting and Dismantling Access/Working Platforms in the Workplace
- Installing, Maintaining and Removing Work Area Protection and Safety Equipment in the Workplace
- Moving, Handling and Storing Resources in the Workplace
Candidate need to be at least 16 years old. There are no other formal entry requirements although you do need to be in a role carrying out this work so you can be assessed. If you are new to the role you will still be able to enrol onto the qualification although it may talk you longer to complete it.

Yes – your Assessor will support you to enable you to complete this qualification.
This depends on each individual. NVQs can be completed in just a few weeks, with the average completion for a Level 6 being 3-6 months. You are supported by your Assessor for twelve months after which you will be dormant on our system – but you have up to three years to compete your qualification.
