NVQ Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision

Our NVQ Level 3 Occupational Works Supervisor qualification is aimed at experienced Supervisors or Foremen. Our unique approach can help experienced Supervisors get their Gold CSCS card in as little as 4 weeks.
The qualification is delivered online and on site, so no college attendance is required.
Upon successful completion of the course you will be issued with a certificate which along with successful completion of the Health, Safety & Environment test you will then be able to apply for a Gold CSCS card.
When you enrol, you are provided with a logon to our online platform, MyKademy. This guides you through:
- Your induction and introduction to your qualification
- Some reading material followed by questions you need to answer
- What documents you need to upload
- Your site visit requirements
Your Assessor gets in touch within 7-10 days of your enrolment and will then give you feedback on how you’re doing each step of the way, until your completion.
There are 6 mandatory units in the NVQ Level 3 Occupational Works Supervisor qualification, and an additional two optional units you can select – we give you a plan on how to easily meet the requirements of these units and map your evidence against them for you.
The mandatory units include:
- Confirming the Occupational Method of Work in the Workplace
- Confirming Work Activities and Resources for an Occupational Work Area in the Workplace
- Co-ordinating and organising work operations in the workplace
- Developing and Maintaining Good Occupational Working Relationships in the Workplace
- Implementing and maintaining health, safety, environmental and welfare practices in the workplace
- Monitoring progress of work against schedules in the workplace
The optional units to select two from are:
- Allocating and monitoring the use of plant, machinery, equipment or vehicles in the workplace
- Confirming work meets contractual, industry and manufacturers’ standards in the workplace
- Co-ordinating and confirming the dimensional control requirements of the work in the workplace
- Implementing procedures to support team performance in the workplace
Candidate need to be at least 16 years old. There are no other formal entry requirements although you do need to be in a role carrying out this work so you can be assessed. If you are new to the role you will still be able to enrol onto the qualification although it may talk you longer to complete it.

Yes – your Assessor will support you to enable you to complete this qualification.
This depends on each individual. NVQs can be completed in just a few weeks, with the average completion for a Level 6 being 3-6 months. You are supported by your Assessor for twelve months after which you will be dormant on our system – but you have up to three years to compete your qualification.
